Residencial Lomas del Marques lies adjacent to Atalaya Golf and Country Club, as well as being centrally located in the renowned Costa del Golf, making it  within close proximity to many other famous courses in the region. Atalaya Golf and Country Club has two 18-hole golf courses. Atalaya Old course was inaugurated in 1968 and was designed by Bernard Vom Limberger.
The Atalaya New Course was opened in 1990 and was designed by Paul Krings. Both courses are par 72. The Atalaya Golf and Country Club is the Headquarters of the P.G.A of Europe during the winter and host the Annual Team Championship. The Old Course is a Championship Golf Course. It is a classic parkland course with generous Bermuda grass, fairways and elevated greens protected by well-placed bunkers. The New Course with its beautiful fairways and excellent greens has become a genuine challenge to both the established players as well as the beginners. It is one of the most natural courses on the Costa del Sol and offers splendid views of the Mediterranean and Gibraltar.
